Chris Tedesco

Chris Tedesco has distinguished himself as a one of the top call trumpet players on the music scene in Los Angeles since 1987. Equally at home performing classical trumpet or jazz, chamber music or orchestral pieces, Chris’s sound has been heard on numerous recordings for Movies, TV shows, TV Commercials, CD recordings, and live dates with some of the biggest names in the industry. He is also very active in the “business end” of music as a musician contractor/project manager for some of this recorded and live work as well.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Miami in Florida, where he studied trumpet with Gil Johnson, former principal trumpeter of the famed Philadelphia Orchestra under Eugene Ormandy. Some most recent credits in Los Angeles on the studio scene include big band trumpet for the movie Ironman, and one week in the back up band for the American Idol TV show. Partial credits include the movie soundtracks - For Your Consideration, Finding Nemo, Best in Show, Batman Begins, The Mexican, Winchell, and Nixon. Television credits include America’s Best Dance Crew, the El Tigre Cartoon series, The Latin Grammy’s, The SAG Awards, The Star Trek TV series, The District, Chicago Hope and many more.

He is the leader of the Angel City Horns - horn section, which have recorded the hit tunes “Don’t Cha Wish” for the Pussy Cat Dolls, and Christina Aguilera’s “Candyman” and “Nasty Naughty Boy”. Also listen up for the upcoming movie releases of Moolah, Major Movie Star starring Jessica Simpson, and Next Day Air.  As far as TV commercials go, Chris has played trumpet for everything from Outback Steakhouse to Hyundai SUV’s….too numerous to list!

In live performances Chris has played with Frankie Valli, Don Rickles, Johnny Mathis, Tom Jones, Chayanne, Blood, Sweat & Tears, , Donna Summer, The Four Tops, Temptations, Michael Feinstein, Rene Olstead, David Foster, Josh Groban, Shakira, The Irish Tenors, Barry Manilow, Royal Crown Revue, The Moody Blues, Christopher Cross, Jim Belushi, John Tesh, Mel Torme, Nancy Wilson, Sammy Davis jr., Dianne Schuur, Lionel Hampton, Joe Cocker, Michael Bolton, David Raksin and many more.
